There are officially six weeks until the CMU Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Festival commences! The flight crew spent this week learning about how to fill out the tournament brackets, the process for how brackets go from courts to the Bracket Wall, and how they will be assigned a court. For Gus Macker basketball tournaments, Court A is always the youngest male court, with each of the courts becoming older and more experienced as you go down the alphabet. Each of the Court Captains learned that they will be assigned the same court for the whole tournament, to create less confusion for officials, families and the Court Captains themselves. Fun Fact: for the CMU Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Festival, typically 67% of all teams are youth teams (under 18)!
Make sure that if you would like to play in the CMU Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Festival for April 27-28, 2024 that you sign up via macker.com and pay the $180 registration fee for your four-person team by April 5th in order to be eligible.

The crew officially has their Fighter Jet Semi-Finalists! Joining Stink and K-KO are Woodchuck and Kicks, with Kicks being the only T.A., so the pressure is on! Next week, we will learn who the 2 finalists are.
