The CMU Gus Macker Crew apologizes for the delay in updates last week. CMU had their Gentle Break right before Easter Sunday, so class was cancelled for that Thursday night. Now we will be back to our regularly scheduled programming all the way until tournament weekend!
On the bright side for this week, we officially have our 2024 Gus Macker Fighter Jet Paper Plane Competition Winner! Drumroll please...the winner is Woodchuck! In the final face-off between her and K-KO, Woodchuck’s plane soared gracefully past K-KO's all the way to victory. An incredible round of applause to the two finalists and to Woodchuck as the champion!
The crew also began to learn the physical logistics of how courts will be set up and managed for the CMU Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Festival, including looking at the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and "Run of Show" documents. So far there are over 100 teams registered and today is the final day to register, so make sure you pay your $180 registration fee to macker.com

There is sadly no Opening Ceremonies dance update this week, since Finch Fieldhouse has been taken over for the CMU Threads Fashion Show, but rest assured, the crew will have their dancing shoes on by next week!
