This week, the Finch Fanatics are in full-on prep mode as the Launch Party is getting super close! The crew went through all of the decorations, equipment and additional pieces that will be needed for the big day, in addition to looking at the food and drink specials that will be offered that night, with the purchase of a $3 wristband. Each year, the Special Events team creates menus for all the food and drinks that will be offered during the Launch Party, provided by the O’Kelly’s staff and each item gets a special name (can you guess what “Wing Man” refers to?). A huge shout out to Jacuzzi and Moomad for all of their hard work in planning this event thus far!
The crew brought in a huge haul for the silent auction, with prizes ranging from a Nutribullet Blender to rounds of golf to a fancy electric toothbrush! Make sure to be watching the CMU Gus Macker social media for silent auction teasers!
The crew also learned more of their Opening Ceremonies Dance, with a special new move called The Ripple (it is T.O.’s new favorite!). Watch the latest addition to the dance below!
Throughout the semester, the crew has been participating in a weekly fighter jet paper plane competition. Some of these pilots have really gotten some air time! This upcoming week is the last of the second round games, so stay tuned for who will advance to the Quarter-Finals!
