It is officially Launch Party Week! This is an incredibly exciting week for our Special Events team, and the CMU Gus Macker class as a whole, to see all of their hard work come to fruition for the CMU Gus Macker Launch Party. Jacuzzi and Moomad took the crew through a walkthrough of the event slideshow, which features Macker fun facts, crew job descriptions, behind the scenes footage and more! The crew also got to see a mockup of the table centerpieces (pictured below) and hear about some of the amazing gift baskets that have been created. What do you think the “Bob Ross Vibes” basket could include? The event takes off at 7pm on Thursday, February 22nd at O’Kelly’s. Be there if you’ve got the need for speed (and boneless wings!)
The crew also got back their second Court Captain Quiz and 14 of the 16 crewmembers received the same score or higher! A special shoutout to K-KO, Stink, Bullet and Cherry for achieving a perfect 10/10! Know that your Court Captains, and the rest of the CMU Gus Macker crew, is on their way to being well prepared for tournament weekend.
There was an official update the 17 CMU Gus Macker alums have agreed to come back for the final tournament, with the oldest alum from the 2015 class #finchfanaticsforever.

The “Danger Zone” portion of the Opening Ceremonies Dance has officially begun, with the crew working diligently to be on top of their hand-eye coordination. However, the majority of their focus was channeled into the second Macker Bonding Day, which included several rounds of Pictionary. If you didn’t know, apparently, Miles Teller and Tom Cruise are simply stick figures with abs :).
Many crew members were also able to attend the annual Toilet Paper Toss Game and cheer on the CMU Men’s Basketball team as they beat Western Michigan 69-42. Talk about a landslide victory! Shoutout to TAs Moomad and The Kid, and crew members Woodchuck, Jacuzzi, Mickey, Apap, Cherry and Queso for showing that team spirit!
